they'll play toulouze, in next sunday's £1 million game for a place at rugby league's top table if they can dispose of the broncos, who won their play off eliminator 42 0 over sheffield eagles last sunday.


Full time yesterday from post office Road. And, once again, when it really mattered, Featherstone Rovers came up short Going down  36 points to 26 to the London Broncos. They were huge Favourites coming into this one, and finish the regular season 12 points clear at the top. Having won 25 out of 27 games. including  beating the Broncos 90 points to 16 on aggregate over the two seasons encounters. 

 Broncos raced into a 12 nil lead with  two converted tries. But featherstone instantly hit back due to some substitutions to draw level. But the crucial moment came at the start of the second half when featherstone had a man sin binned for 10 minutes. Broncos took full advantage by scoring for converted tries to establish a 36 points to 12 lead. Featherstone scored three late tries to give the score, some semblance  of respectability, but it was too little too late. And there are now  worries for the future of the club with an  expensively assembled squad set to break up following yet another near miss. broncos  will play toulouze, victors over bradford bulls on saturday night,  in next week’s £1  million  super league. Winner takes all promotion play-off.

 at ewen fieles, home of hyde united for manchester premier cup final, fc united of manchester, 14th in conference north vs trafford, just outside play offs in step 4 northern league division 1 north.  fc won this conpetition on a barmy evening last may at oldham's boundary park, and with them having secured safety last week will be hoping to retain their crown.  trafford will be hoping to spring a cup upset.  but the weather is far from barmy here in east manchester this evening. late drama at ewen fields.  ft 2 each.  trafford better side in first half, much more cohetion, and appeared to watt it more.  2 each at ht, with fc coming behind both times.  traford man sent off in 2nd half which gave fc momentum but they could not make the extra man count.  game went to penalties.  this sparked panic amongst some  fans, some of whom hurried to the car park which closed at ten pm and aiming to avoid their car being empounded before the cut off time.    the rest of us charged down the ot
