the all conquering beeston st anthonys have already won the league yet again.

2 30 pm kick off. carlton have just taken the lead after 6 minutes.

f t from yesterday's football action. and a cracking end to end encounter finishes 3 apiece. carlton took the lead with goals on 5 and 30 mins, but knaresborough always looked dangerous on the break and had the majority of possession.

they were rewarded with a penalty just on half time, and having the benefit of the tremendous slope down equalised on 62, took the lead on 75, but a pen for carlton meant a deserved draw in front of an excellent 120.

the all conquering beeston st Anthony's are champions again. thankfully an uneventful time off the pitch too. i say this because, some years ago, a group of llamas  escaped from the nearby urban farm, and invaded  the pitch, causing the game to be abandoned. all quiet on the llama  front yesterday however.

At the magicalfeethams.

ecb Club knockout championship game.

darlington from the north yorks and south durham league vs York cc  from yorkshire premier league north. 40 overs aside. Competition  to determine the best club cricket team in the country.

Darlington currently 81 4 off 20 overs,  on a glorious day up here in the north-east.

Yesterday's result from feethams. and York progress through to the next stage of the e c b national club knock out, with a 6 wicket win over Darlington. Darlo batting first were 161 all out, and committed the cardinal synn of failing to bat out all of their allotted 40 overs. top scores of 31, 30, 26 and 25 respectively. dave brent, 4 for 43, and ex Yorkshire cc Harry Sullivan 3 for 34 the destroyers in chief.
york won with 2 overs to spare, thanks in the main to opener Luke Kilby, 69 not out, backed up by scores of 39 and 34. Yorkshire's Will Frane out for a duck. they'll now go on to play Richmond-shire in the next round. excellent crowd of over 200, and easy to see why this was a first class cricket venue back in the day too.

Saturday's cricket result. And an absolute thriller. goes the way  of Bradford and Bingley, who clinch a two wicket win. Off The last ball of the game.
Carlton mustard a seemingly below par total of 194 all out.
with Kian wade, 54 and Camron Wallace 37 top scoring, backed up by 21 and 20 lower down the order. William Edden, 5 for 76, and Billy Whitford, 3 for 27, plus 2 catches and a run out too for b and b.
When it was their turn to bat, they subsided from 67 for 1 to 136 for to 7, losing 6 wickets for 69, before an 8th wicket partnership of 58 brought the scores level, but George Heartfield, attempting to go for the winning boundary of bowled for 55.
with the scores level and one ball to go, the b and b no. 10 came out, cleared his front leg and swum the ball for 4 to give b and b 19 points and their 1st win of the 2nd 11 competition.
Despite being in close proximity to the  rhubarb triangle, this was most definitely not a day for the  proverbial stick of rhubarb out here on the cricketing field.
